We look to the West as the light falls and offer our appreciation for the beauty of crimson, burnt amber, and honey tinted leaves. Receive our exhale, as we all let go and nourish the cycle amidst drought and seasons of change. May we continue to acknowledge the elements that support our transformation.
Attune us to the darkness and guide us to simple acts of honoring the shift of time and of silence. Show us how to speak with gratitude to the sunset, to the quiet call of Owl in the night, and to the gentle birds that stay with us through winter, nourished by the growth of the past season.
We feel the earth covered in leaves, and the winds shifting around us. May we center ourselves as we feel it move through us as breath.
Ignite the fires we build as the day shortens, and remind us to gather the ashes for the garden, for the next becoming.
As we place bulbs, roots, and seeds into the soil —the ones that need the cold to germinate — may we receive the medicine of stillness and resilience offered to all in this season of darkness.
Thank you for the herbs that dry by the bundle, for the nourishment these plants leave behind. We honor the alchemical gifts and generosity they offer in a warm cup of tea. To the gifts of water and earth combined.
Empty us into the soil, into the fertile void, as we participate in this ending of a cycle, as we offer our own seeds, leaves, and branches to the earth. May we know the sacred beginnings in these endings as we spiral and circle with nature in service of life.
