Forest & Flowers is the title of this publication, as well as a place I steward in Pennsylvania where I cultivate herbs, flowers, native plants, and edible perennials, while also offering accommodations, workshops, and a venue for ceremonies and celebrations, for regeneration of people and the Earth.
This journal is a metaphorical garden of beauty, reflections, and personal stories. It’s dedicated to paying attention to the wisdom and wonders of nature, and to unearthing the sacred in the ordinary.

an invitation to be part of a gift economy
Subscribe for free, to receive new entries every other week in your inbox. Naturally, frequency may vary with seasonal fluctuations.
If you feel inspired or nourished along the way, consider sharing the Forest & Flowers Journal so that any benefit may be extended to all.
As a quiet offering of support, you can also send a gift back to the land — the inspiration of everything I share here. Financial gifts are directed to the ecosystem at Forest and Flowers Retreat in service to life.
You can also choose a monthly or annual paid subscription. Through this, you’ll get access to 105+ entries since 2022 in the Archive, as well as the Herbal Apothecary Guide: a 32 page e-book with 11 plant profiles and 15 recipes on making your own herbal tinctures, glycerites, infusions, oils, salves, vinegars, syrups, sprays, juices, essential oil products and more.
In a spirit of gratitude, reciprocity, and abundance, thank you. Raising my mug of Lemon Balm tea to you in appreciation for your presence and support.
