dandelion
be the exhale of emergence in spring
arriving as one of the first in sight

choose to grow in lonely places
from disrupted soils
from dark to light

sink your roots
to touch the hardened space
as you bring your medicine forth
into wide open grace

risk feeling unappreciated as you grow
open from your inner light, a yellow glow

let bitterness in
to digest and process
taste
the subtle sweetness
in the root base

bring elements from the depths
be abundantly generous with elegant humility
give back to the ground beneath you
with grateful reciprocity

stand tall as the wind escorts
your seeds to share
from deep medicine unearthed
in this holy prayer

continued below

  • Listen to and read a personal journal reflection from a meditation with dandelion root tea

  • The “herbal coffee” I’m currently drinking every morning

  • Notes on the medicinal qualities of dandelion
